Event Terms & Conditions

1. Deposit & payment
A non-refundable 30% deposit secures your event date. Until the deposit is received, the date remains open to other clients.
The remaining 70% balance is automatically invoiced 14 days before the event. The balance is payable as soon as it is invoiced — you may pay it sooner from the manage-event page.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details ourselves.
2. Cancellations & refunds
Cancellations made 30 or more days before the event date are eligible for a full refund of the deposit (less any non-refundable Stripe processing fees, where applicable).
Cancellations made fewer than 30 days before the event date are not eligible for a refund.
All cancellation requests must be submitted from your manage-event link.
3. Right to cancel for unsuitable venues
Trompo Tacos cooks over live fire on a vertical trompo. We reserve the right to cancel an event — at any time, including on-site — if the venue or location does not meet the requirements for a safe trompo setup. Requirements include but are not limited to:
• Adequate ventilated outdoor space (covered space is acceptable with sufficient airflow; we do not operate the trompo indoors).
• A level, non-flammable surface at least 10 ft × 10 ft for the station.
• Reasonable vehicle access for load-in within 100 ft of the setup area.
• Compliance with all applicable fire codes and venue rules.
If we cancel for venue unsuitability, your deposit will be refunded in full minus any documented travel costs already incurred.
4. Arrival & setup
Our crew arrives at least 3 hours before service start to fire the trompo and bring the meat up to temperature. This arrival window is built into your event and is not optional.
5. Guest counts & final adjustments
Final guest count adjustments must be submitted at least 14 days before the event. Adjustments after that point may incur additional fees and cannot decrease your total below the deposit amount.
6. Service area
We serve events within 100 miles of our Longmont, CO kitchen (zip 80501). Distance is verified when you secure your date.
